Emerald Pools and Their Remarkable Falls

What does an architectural photographer do on his time off? Photograph nature, of course.

Zion National Park is not known for its waterfalls, but it has some gorgeous ones in an area named for the pools beneath the falls.

The falls are found on the “Emerald Pools” trail, one of the park’s most popular, easy walks. The pools themselves are unremarkable, but the falls that fill them are anything but.
